Slip widths vary from 500 feet wide in the west slip to 700 feet wide in the east slip. The port will have a maintained dredged depth of up to 33 feet.
The bulkhead system includes I-beam braced steel sheet pile walls with a tie-back anchorage system. Mooring bollards will be provided along the sheet pile wall. A continuous mooring pipe will also be located on the water side of the wall.
The complex is designed to accommodate both traditional bulkhead with crane pads and/or covered individual slips with overhead crane capabilities.
HEAVY LIFT AREAS
The complex is designed to accommodate the heavy lift needs of the industry with multiple sites available for leasing.
Approximately 25,000 linear feet of all-weather roads and two new pile supported concrete bridges will be constructed to provide ingress and egress to Port Cameron. Roads will be two lanes, consisting of 12-foot travel lanes in each direction with 4-foot shoulders and appropriate turning radii for truck traffc. Swale ditch drainage and overhead lighting will be provided alongside of roadways.
